Examinations in 2024/25

IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR Y11 AND Y13 STUDENTS, PARENTS/CARERS

A level and GCSE exam contingency sessions are WEDNESDAY 11TH JUNE AND WEDNESDAY 25TH JUNE 2025.

These dates have been set by JCQ as  contingency dates, should sustained national or local disruption arise during the Summer 2025 examination series. If disruption occurs, the GCSE and/or A level exams (or equivalent) would be taken either for the first time or again on any date up to and including the contingency dates.

Students taking public examinations should not plan to go on holiday before the 26th June regardless of when their last exam takes place.

This is a JCQ decision and applies to all students taking GCSE and or A levels (or equivalent) in Summer 2025 in all schools and colleges.

Year 7

Assessments will be conducted throughout the year as determined by each department.

Year 8

Assessments will be conducted throughout the year as determined by each department.

Year 9

Assessments will be conducted throughout the year as determined by each department.

Year 10

Mock written paper exams will take place from 16th - 27th June 2025. 

Art and photography exams will take place 2nd - 5th June 2025.

Year 11

Mock written paper exams will take place from 11th - 22nd November 2024

Food and Nutrition practical exam TBC

Y11 Additional Core Subject Mocks will take place 24th February - 8th March 2025.

Art Exams take place 29th & 30th April 2025.

Photography Exams take place 1st & 2nd May 2025.

PE GCSE practical assessments TBC

MFL speaking exams take place 28th April - 2nd May 2025.

External summer exams (GCSE and equivalents) will take place 8th May- 24th June 2025.

Criminology assessment will take place on 11th & 12th March 2025.

Mock written paper exams will take place from 23rd April - 9th May 2025.  

Fine Art exams take place 19th & 20th May 2025.

Art Photography exams take place 21st & 22nd May 2025.

Year 13

Mock written paper exams will take place 13th - 24th January 2025. 

Criminology controlled will take place on 13th & 14th February 2025.

MFL speaking exams take place 6th - 9th May 2025.

Art Exams take place 6th - 8th May 2025.

Photography exams take place 6th - 8th May 2025.
