Support Staff Vacancies

Deputy Site Manager

We are seeking an enthusiastic, reliable and hardworking Deputy Site Manager to join the school’s busy Site Team to support the Site Manager and day-to-day operational management of the school site.  This role will attract an H6 grade (currently £25,409 - £27,852, plus pay award pending) with the opportunity for overtime and extra pay for lunchtime supervisory duties.  Working hours will be 37 hours per week including school holiday periods and will attract 23 days paid holiday per year.

Reporting to the Site Manager, main duties will include supporting the Site Manager with a range of health, safety and site compliance requirements such as asbestos monitoring, fire safety and legionella checks and monitoring the maintenance of the school minibuses.  Training will be provided as required.  In addition, general caretaking duties will be needed involving  repairs and maintenance work, porterage, litter picking, key-holding responsibilities and setting up for school assemblies and events. In addition, the ability to contribute to small scale decorating, refurbishment and plumbing projects would be advantageous.

Caretaker

We are seeking an enthusiastic, reliable and hardworking caretaker to join the school’s busy Site Team to support the day-to-day operational management of the school site.  This role will attract an H4 grade (currently £21,968 - £23,194, plus pay award pending) with the opportunity for overtime and extra pay for lunchtime supervisory duties.  Working hours will be 37 hours per week including school holiday periods and will attract 23 days paid holiday per year.

Reporting to the Site Manager, main duties will include general repairs and maintenance work, porterage, litter picking, key-holding responsibilities and setting up for school assemblies and events. In addition, the ability to contribute to small scale decorating, refurbishment and plumbing projects would be advantageous, along with an understanding of health and safety requirements around the school site.

Minibus Driver (£12 per hour)

The school requires minibus drivers to support the pick-up and drop off of 6th form students to and from school during term time, at the beginning and end of the school day.

The roles require availability from 07:00 to 09.00 and then 15:00 to 16:30. These shifts are available to applicants on the basis of covering either the morning or afternoon shift, or both.

Applicants should be comfortable interacting with students and will need a clean driving licence with a D1 permit to drive larger vehicles. Training/ instruction will be provided.
